VOLL'S ELECTRO-ACUPUNTURE (EAV)
By the 1970's, his Dermatron, a small solid state instrument, was in wide use in Germany. It was this unit that James Hoyt Clark who is a computer scientist, was later requested to computerise. He has been developing computerised versions of Dr Voll's machine since 1978 and is considered to be the father of the Computerised Electrodermal Screening (CEDS) industry. What is Electrodermal Screening (EDS)? In a healthy body the optimum resistance is 100,000 ohms at each location, that is a balanced value. Stress caused by toxins can effect the structure and function of an organ in the body by changing the ion concentrations. This change in structure or function produces a higher or lower resistance that is measured by the ohmmeter. Electrical skin conductance is measured at acupuncture points by a device called an Ohmmeter. Dr Voll originated this concept in the 1940's. When the bio-energy system moves to an imbalanced state, the electrical conductivity of the skin changes. These bioenergetic imbalances, Dr Voll found, can be indicators of both subclinical conditions as well as diagnosable diseases. An EDS operator can test various frequencies to see if the imbalance is reversed and use this information to design a therapeutic strategy. |
